Transcription: The Iguazu Falls are one of the most spectacular sights of South America. They occur where the Iguazu River tumbles over the edge of the Piranha Plateau and plunges into a narrow canyon called Garganta del Diablo, the Devil's Throat. From the foot of the falls, a curtain of mist rises 500 feet into the air. The river is split by rocky and wooded islands into around 275 separate waterfalls. Looking over these magnificent falls, it comes as no surprise surprised to learn that their name derives from the Gorani word meaning great water.
